We're a husband-and-wife team who met in Victoria, renovated a mobile home together, and hatched the idea for Spliced Electric while hiking somewhere in the Himalayas. We're locals — Derek was born and raised here. Amie has lived in Esquimalt since making the move from Ontario 12 years ago. We're your neighbours. We live and work here. That means we like building connections in your home, just as much as we like building connections in the community. We started Spliced Electric because we believe every homeowner deserves a trusted electrician they can call with confidence.
Derek is a Red Seal Master Electrician with over a decade of hands-on experience. Amie brings 15+ years in leadership, management and most recently in marine operations. Together, we run every project with the same care we put into our own home — whether that's installing your next EV charger, upgrading your existing services, wiring a new workshop or carriage home, inspecting your next home purchase, or simply diagnosing troublesome electrical problems — because we know what it's like to be on the other side of a renovation.
