From street banners to community gifts Every bag has a story and a second life What began as Esquimalt’s street banners—celebrating our heritage, people, and seasonal events—now continues in a new form: reusable, practical, and meaningful. The Banners 2 Bags project transforms retired street banners into handcrafted shopping bags. Each bag is made from durable nylon and sewn by skilled community-based sewers. The result is a useful and beautiful item that reflects both creativity and care.
