Esquimalt Introduces New Place Brand: “The Place to Be”

Esquimalt has always been a vibrant and welcoming community where opportunity and lifestyle come together. That spirit is now captured in a bold new identity: “The Place to Be.”

This new place brand reflects Esquimalt’s unique combination of natural beauty, strong community values, and economic potential. It is more than a slogan. It is a clear expression of what makes Esquimalt special and why it stands out as a destination for residents, investors, and visitors.

The branding process began with community engagement through an Open House and continued with detailed staff reports to Council in July and November 2024. Throughout the process, updates were shared on Engaging Esquimalt, ensuring transparency and public involvement.

At the November 2024 Council meeting, the new brand was officially endorsed. This milestone supports the vision of Esquimalt’s newly formed Economic Development team, providing a strong foundation for future growth and community prosperity.
