Thompson Community Services Inc.

The South of Vancouver Island is anchored by Victoria, BC's capital. Also known as the Capital Region, it is home to 344,615 residents. The relaxed nature of the city, its livability, and its acclaim as the most temperate region in all of Canada are the drawing cards which continue to attract British Columbians to this region.

Thompson Community Services continues to build its resources in the South Island, and we can offer most of the programs (Child and Youth, Community Inclusion, Employment Services, Home Sharing, Independent Living, and Residential Programs) to its residents.

Thompson Community Services utilizes a person-centred planning process for all individuals that we serve. The persons served are involved in all aspects of this process. Individualized plans are completed annually and reviewed minimally every three months. The plan encompasses the individual’s physical, medical, psychological, social and spiritual needs.

Individuals and their support network are consulted to develop personal goal statements for each person. This results in a set of outcomes to assist the individual in attaining skills and achieving personal growth. As a component of the Person Centred Planning process, we establish outcomes each year that are applied at an organizational, program and individual level.
